Top SchoolDominic Cocchiarella is a senior engineering leader with 12 years of experience building and scaling consumer-facing systems from startup labs to large enterprise teams. Currently Senior Director of Engineering at Instacart in San Francisco, he has led teams spanning in-store hardware and software, AI initiatives, search, storefront, and customer platform services, often moving moonshot ideas into production. He’s known for hands-on technical leadership and growing high‑performing teams, previously driving UI engineering and large-scale web efforts at Best Buy and co-founding a games startup. A curious problem-solver who thrives on daily challenges, Dominic blends product-minded engineering with a background in creative writing and film, which informs his emphasis on clear communication and rapid prototyping.
