Top SchoolDominic Mitchell is a digital publishing leader with 12 years of experience focused on open access, platform migrations, and partner relations, now serving as Deputy Director of DOAJ in Stockholm. He combines hands-on project and account management with a pedagogic, collaborative approach that helps publishers and librarians increase visibility of peer-reviewed research. Dominic has driven strategic digital transformations at organizations including HighWire, BMJ, and COPE, and consults for international clients such as the American Society for Microbiology and Oxford University Press. An experienced community manager and board chair at the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association, he is as comfortable shaping metadata-driven technical projects as he is delivering high-quality customer service. Less obvious is his background managing large operational teams and hospitality operations early in his career, which informs his pragmatic leadership and people-first management style.
