Dominik Schramm
Vienna, Austria
Summary
👤
SeniorDominik Schramm is a Senior Software Engineer based in Vienna with nine years of hands-on experience in Java web application development, spanning both microservices and monolithic architectures. He grew into IT from an early age through self-directed tinkering and practical problem-solving, which translated into roles as a systems engineer/admin where he led a Nutanix VDI project before shifting into software development. Over the past five years he has specialized in backend Java systems, bringing operational insight from infrastructure work to improve reliability and deployment practices. Dominik prefers pragmatic, project-focused environments over academia and is now seeking a new challenge with responsibility for project delivery. An early hacker mindset and history of building unconventional projects (from simple image transfer tools to DIY CPU models) give him a knack for creative, low-level problem solving alongside enterprise engineering.
