Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolDominique Vassard is a seasoned back-end developer with over a decade of experience building e-commerce and online advertising systems, primarily in PHP and JavaScript. He has led teams and projects from Pixmania to Bilendi, and more recently drives backend work at AssessFirst while exploring Elixir and Python for more complex architectures. Dominique has deep practical experience with Neo4j—developing Ecto adapters and contributing to bolt_sips and seraph—which signals expertise in graph databases beyond typical relational models. He has designed decision-support and recommendation systems, owning projects end-to-end from requirements with product teams to deployment using Docker, Grafana and InfluxDB. Comfortable both as an individual contributor and a lead, he combines autonomy with a collaborative approach that treats problems as opportunities to improve user experience. Based in France, he pairs pragmatic engineering with an entrepreneurial streak evidenced by his move into open source tooling when commercial routes proved limiting.
