Senior🎓
Top SchoolDon Jones is a seasoned software engineering leader with 11+ years of professional experience and a long-running freelance web practice dating back to 2003. As Director of Software Engineering at Aethereal, he blends hands-on full‑stack expertise—Vue.js, Node, TypeScript, Swift/iOS, PHP/Laravel, MySQL/Oracle—with payments and API integrations (Stripe, Authorize.net, TrustCommerce). He’s led engineering and front-end teams across agencies and product companies, driving MVC/OOP architectures, real-time features with Socket.io, and cross-platform hybrid apps via Ionic. Don’s background includes both agency-grade creative tooling (Photoshop, Illustrator) and backend reliability, giving him a rare designer-developer perspective when shipping customer-facing systems. Based in Winston-Salem, he pairs practical delivery experience with long-term entrepreneurial grit through his ongoing freelance DBA work.
