Top SchoolDonald Simpson is a DevOps consultant and platform engineer based in Scotland with two decades of hands-on experience and a decade focused specifically on DevOps, SRE and MLOps practices. He has repeatedly modernised large enterprise stacks—designing IaC with Terraform, Terragrunt and AWS CDK, building CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab CI and ArgoCD, and running container platforms from EKS to bare-metal Rancher. His background spans finance, publishing and energy (notably Tesco Bank, RBS, Registers of Scotland and Shell), where he led migrations to cloud, centralised logging/monitoring and integrated DevSecOps tooling. A published author and technical reviewer on Jenkins and Docker, he brings both deep tooling knowledge and a knack for translating legacy platforms into automated, observable systems. Colleagues benefit from his pragmatic automation focus and long history of building reusable infrastructure modules that speed team onboarding and reduce operational risk.
