Top SchoolDonovan M is an Information Security Engineer and MS Cybersecurity candidate at the University of Delaware with 11 years of hands-on experience across Linux engineering, cloud tooling, and software development. At Optum he progressed from TDP rotations in SOC and full-stack development to roles securing RHEL estates, automating patching and commissioning workflows with Bash, Terraform, and Tanium, and now focuses on information security. He blends practical software skills—React/TypeScript, Java/Selenium, MongoDB—with security tooling in Azure and Splunk, and enjoys competitive CTFs that keep his offensive and defensive skills sharp. Donovan’s goal-driven approach pairs academic depth in cybersecurity with real-world operational experience securing commercial and federal environments, and he’s comfortable translating technical controls into measurable security standards.
