Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolDoug Stevenson is an independent consultant and developer-relations veteran with nearly three decades of hands-on software experience, focused today on architecting scalable web and mobile apps using Firebase and Google Cloud. He has moved fluidly between founding engineering roles, platform architecture, and leading developer relations teams at Google and startups, combining deep full-stack technical chops with prolific writing, public speaking, and content creation. Doug helped turn early startup work into production Firebase performance tooling, led developer advocacy for Google Assistant and Firebase, and built DevRel programs from scratch, evidencing both product and community impact. Based in Cleveland, he pairs systems-level thinking—servers, data pipelines, Android SDKs and CI—with an ability to translate complex APIs into clear docs, videos, and talks that help developers ship. As a solopreneur he blends consulting, teaching, and engineering, and maintains a visible technical presence across StackOverflow, GitHub, Medium, and social platforms.
