Top SchoolDoug Wright is a founder and seasoned full-stack and embedded software engineer with 11 years of experience building cloud-native, secure, and maintainable web and desktop products. He has led distributed teams as Technical Lead at BeatConnect and architected reliable automation and customer-facing platforms at Control Gap, spanning backend, frontend, CI/CD, and AWS infrastructure. Comfortable from Elixir/Phoenix/LiveView to modern frontends and Electron/Tauri desktop apps, he also brings hands-on embedded experience with ESP32, Raspberry Pi and Nerves. Now leading Alustr Software to modernize legacy systems, Doug blends product-minded engineering with operational ownership and a security-first background from PCI-focused work. He’s drawn to challenging projects that sit at the intersection of product, infrastructure, and pragmatic architecture, and often pairs cloud platform thinking with low-level embedded constraints.
