Senior🎓
Top SchoolDuane Newman is a seasoned entrepreneur and solution architect with over three decades of software experience and 11 years leading Alien Arc Technologies, where he designs cross-platform mobile, desktop, web, and IoT solutions on the .NET stack. He specializes in .NET MAUI, Xamarin, Blazor, and Azure backends, routinely rescuing stalled projects, modernizing legacy systems, and implementing CI/CD to accelerate delivery. Duane pairs hands-on engineering—from WPF and embedded CAN-bus systems to mobile offline sync—with pragmatic architecture decisions that favor the right tool over fashion. An active community leader and speaker, he co-organizes the Kansas City .NET User Group and presents on topics like MAUI, Blazor, testing, and DevOps. Outside work he channels a curiosity for physical systems into maritime battery monitoring and public-safety diving, and runs a scuba instruction business that reflects his commitment to teaching and growing the next generation of developers.
