Top SchoolDulaj Disanayaka is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of experience building scalable, distributed systems and platform backends across fintech, media, and enterprise SaaS. He has led architecture and engineering teams to deliver large Django and FastAPI codebases, a distributed versioning file system (StekzVFS) with ACID transactions, and high-throughput services for commodity trade and media analysis. As a technical co-founder he shipped a GDPR- and FIDO-compliant client-side face biometric library achieving industry-grade accuracy and sub-second inference in browsers, demonstrating both research depth and product focus. Dulaj combines low-level performance work (lock-free actor frameworks and language tooling) with product-minded platform engineering, routinely turning prototypes into production-grade systems. Based in Groningen, he pairs a Master’s in Computer Science (Data Science) with hands-on leadership, often shipping ambitious MVPs in weeks rather than months. Notably, he designed an internal presigned-URL/UUID strategy and an 800ms atomic transaction mechanism—signals of his knack for elegant, practical engineering trade-offs.
