Ed Stephinson
Founding Engineer at Clove
London, England, United Kingdom
Summary
🤩
RockstarEd Stephinson is a founding engineer and two-time founder based in London with 11 years of experience building developer-focused product and platform tooling. He has led and grown engineering teams at Netlify—where he built integrations, a CLI and an SDK—and gone on to found startups (Reflr, Sailhouse) that simplify hiring and infrastructure. Comfortable across the full stack, Ed has shipped microservices, micro frontends and authentication systems while driving developer experience and performance improvements. He blends hands-on coding with partner negotiations and public speaking, bringing both technical depth and product sensibility to early-stage companies. Notably, he moves fluidly between scaling internal platform SDKs and creating customer-facing experiences, a pattern visible across his roles from Jaguar Land Rover to his current founding work.
