Top SchoolEdge Dalmacio is a product and payments leader with 14 years of engineering-to-product experience building in-person and digital payment platforms across Southeast Asia. He led founding acquiring and wallet teams at PayMaya (Maya), co-authored the Philippine QR standard, and now drives SoftPOS, Tap to Pay, and merchant onboarding at Grab, turning everyday phones into production-grade payment terminals. Skilled at bridging infrastructure, compliance, and commercial priorities, he has a track record of lowering processing costs and shipping regional payment gateways and wallet integrations with partners like Apple and Adyen. As an advisor to the Merchant Advisory Group APAC, he shapes industry policy on token routing, fraud, and cost optimization—bringing both operator empathy and technical depth to ecosystem-wide challenges. Notably, he started as an engineer and still designs products with an engineer’s attention to reliability while treating payments as an elegant user experience rather than a necessary evil.
