Summary
👤
SeniorEdson Soares is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of hands-on experience building reliable, maintainable systems across Java, JavaScript, C++ and cloud platforms. He blends deep computer science fundamentals with pragmatic software design and architecture, regularly applying SOLID principles, testing, CI/CD and IaC to improve team delivery. As a partner and engineer he has led end-to-end solutions—from requirements and prototyping to infrastructure and production on AWS—while mentoring peers through code reviews and best-practice adoption. Currently at Instituto Atlântico, he focuses on scalable, well-architected systems informed by a DevOps mindset and graduate studies in software engineering and cloud architecture. A self-described “coding nerd,” he values readable code first and foremost, echoing Abelson’s view that programs are written for people to read. Continuously learning (master’s work in progress and multiple nanodegrees), he brings both breadth across stacks and depth in pragmatic engineering.
