Senior🎓
Top SchoolEdward Kim is a Principal Engineer based in Gosford, Australia with nine years of hands-on experience building and operating cloud-native platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and integration middleware. He has progressed from systems and middleware roles at IBM to platform and Kubernetes-focused engineering at Fairfax and Lendi, where he now drives architecture and delivery. His technical breadth spans AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes/Openshift, Go, Java, Ruby and integration stacks (WebSphere/DataPower), enabling him to bridge legacy enterprise integrations with modern DevOps practices. Edward is comfortable across the full lifecycle—designing pipelines, automating deployments, and scaling or tearing down environments—and has a track record of turning complex integration problems into repeatable platform solutions. With dual degrees in Computational Science and Mechatronics from the University of Sydney, he pairs rigorous engineering foundations with a pragmatic focus on operability. A less obvious strength is his long experience in enterprise ESB and message-broker patterns, which gives him uncommon insight when unifying legacy systems with cloud-native architectures.
