Senior🎓
Top SchoolEdwin Liava'a is a technology leader and Full Stack Developer with nearly three decades of regional impact and nine years in executive roles, known for bridging high-level policy with hands-on engineering across the Pacific. He led Tonga’s first international submarine fiber project, has expanded satellite broadband for Kacific, and now builds community-first Web3 infrastructure like the Pasifika Data Chain—designed as a non-financial, zero-fee, disaster-resilient blockchain for Pacific Islanders. Equally comfortable advising ministers and shipping code, he combines GIS, AI, and blockchain to deliver measurable efficiency gains (e.g., a deployed DePIN-GIS delivering faster field data collection and high AI classification accuracy). A Chainlink Developer Expert and mentor, Edwin also advises UNDP and utilities projects, translating complex technical systems into practical policy and operational solutions. Based in Tonga, he focuses on culturally grounded, open-source digital public goods that strengthen resilience and local control.
