Top SchoolElena Mwangi is a data engineer with nine years’ experience designing and operating production data systems across Nairobi and the cloud. She has built real-time processing pipelines, hybrid recommendation models, and automated ETL/validation workflows using tools like Cloudflare Workers, Elasticsearch, LightFM, Prefect, Scrapy and Neo4j, moving projects from sensor-level ingestion to API-driven product features. Her background spans database migrations and optimization (MySQL on Azure to Neo4j on Linux VMs), custom scraping and lead enrichment, and IoT time-series analytics for resource-constrained environments. Elena combines hands-on implementation with automation—daily retraining, scripted HR tooling and documented schemas—to reduce manual overhead and improve observability. Continuously upskilling through fellowships and cloud DevOps training, she brings a practical blend of data science, engineering and DevOps to deliver measurable business impact.
