Top SchoolEmerson Micu is a Senior AWS Cloud and Platform Engineer with a decade of experience building and operating cloud-native, microservices-driven systems for startups and enterprises. He specializes in AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform/CDK, CI/CD and observability tooling, and favors pragmatic, value-focused solutions—“keeping things simple, never simpler.” His work ranges from migrating databases at Hawk:AI to cost-efficient S3+Elasticsearch architectures to modernizing legacy hosting platforms with Kubernetes and automated pipelines. A hands-on DevOps/SRE practitioner, he contributes to full-stack projects (notably Spring Boot code in popular tutorial repos) and combines Java backend expertise with scripting and infrastructure-as-code to reliably ship production services. Based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, he operates primarily as a contractor, thriving on fast iterations and practical automation that reduce costs and operational pain.
