Top SchoolEmilia Paz is a Senior Software Engineer at Google with five years of practical experience building Chrome Extensions UI and privacy-first browser features. She led design and implementation of the Extensions toolbar UI, a host permissions manager, and the Chrome Storage session API, balancing product, UX and engineering needs to increase user trust. Her front-end contributions to the Chromium project include subtle but impactful UI polish—icons, buttons and spacing—to align the extensions experience with modern UX guidelines. Emilia pairs product-oriented leadership (coordinating cross-functional decisions and usability reviews) with hands-on engineering, and has improved testing robustness by creating UI test base classes that reduce flakiness. Based in San Francisco, she also has startup and mentorship experience from co-founding an internship-matching platform and tutoring university programming courses.
