👤
SeniorEmily Lam is a freelance web designer and front-end developer based in Toronto with eight years of experience crafting responsive, user-centered websites and HTML email campaigns. She specializes in HTML and CSS, brings JavaScript and WordPress experience to client projects, and has a track record of improving conversions and usability through thoughtful information architecture and user-flow design. A highest-ranking graduate of Durham College’s Contemporary Web Design program, Emily pairs creative visual design with hands-on coding to animate interfaces and make interactions delightful. Her background in early childhood education gives her a unique empathy for user needs and a research-driven approach to testing and iteration. Past roles span freelance work, agency front-end development and digital support for small businesses, including measurable wins like a 197% sales increase from navigation improvements. When not building sites she sketches and shoots sunsets with a Sony camera, a quieter creative practice that informs her visual sensibility.
