Senior🎓
Top SchoolEmir Aydin is a product-focused software leader and founder with over a decade of experience turning ideas into launched products and sustainable businesses. As Founder & CEO of Automata he grew a niche SaaS to 70k+ users and recurring revenue while earning Product Hunt recognition and a top Pocket integration spot. Emir has led AI-first product incubations at Dropbox (securing CEO funding, shipping two production products and earning patents) and built infrastructure-grade interactive video services at AWS that scaled to millions. His background spans hands-on engineering, mobile and web product leadership at Hootsuite, and early-stage technical cofounding in genomics, giving him rare fluency across product, design and engineering. Based in Vancouver, he combines entrepreneurial grit with intrapreneurial success—often recruiting and mentoring founders inside larger orgs to accelerate innovation. He favors user-centric, retention-driven strategies and consistently ships deeply practical solutions in ambiguous, high-impact domains.
