Senior🎓
Top SchoolEmmanuel Balpe is a Principal Software Development Engineer with 14 years of experience building and orchestrating microservice-driven platforms, currently leading orchestration efforts at SOPHiA GENETICS. He blends deep back-end expertise in Java (Spring, Micronaut), Kafka, Camunda and Kubernetes with front-end experience in React/NextJS, and a strong track record automating CI/CD pipelines and test suites. Emmanuel has a history of modernizing legacy Java apps into microservices, dockerizing complex systems and operating advanced Kubernetes deployments. Comfortable in English and conversational in Spanish, he pairs hands-on coding with operational ownership—installing and managing GitLab, Jenkins, Sentry and SonarQube in production contexts. Based in Bidart, France, he combines an engineering education in automation and robotics with entrepreneurial early-career roles that included product and commercial responsibilities, giving him a pragmatic, end-to-end perspective.
