Senior🎓
Top SchoolEmre Kayan is a founding engineer and backend specialist with 11 years of experience building scalable, service-oriented systems across startups and high-growth companies. He has strong hands-on expertise in Node.js/TypeScript, Go and PHP, and in designing resilient data and messaging layers using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, RabbitMQ and cloud services on AWS and GCP. His work spans the full lifecycle—designing microservices, deploying on Kubernetes/OpenShift, and hardening payment and high-frequency retail platforms for reliability and fraud resilience. After a recent sabbatical he pivoted into mobile app development, shipping consumer iOS apps that combine product thinking with AI-assisted features. Based in Amsterdam, he thrives at early-stage companies where ownership and pragmatic engineering move product and infrastructure forward quickly. Colleagues would note his blend of deep backend craft with an entrepreneurial habit of shipping end-to-end product features.
