Top SchoolEric Damtoft is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of experience designing and shipping web-scale applications at DealerOn, Inc. He blends backend expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server and distributed messaging with hands-on work across search (Elasticsearch), caching (Redis), and cloud-native tooling (Docker, Azure, AWS). Eric is passionate about natural language search, identity protocols (OpenID Connect/OAuth2), and parsing/domain-specific languages, which informs his approach to diagnosable, secure architectures. He routinely troubleshoots complex production issues and builds resilient data processing pipelines using RabbitMQ and container orchestration. On the front end he pairs modern frameworks—React, Redux, Vue and TypeScript—with observable patterns (RxJS) to deliver cohesive full-stack solutions. Based in Rockville, MD, his unconventional BA in Outdoor Education hints at a pragmatic, systems-thinking mindset and a penchant for translating messy real-world problems into maintainable software.
