Top SchoolEric Firth is a product-focused senior software engineer with 11 years of experience building and shipping high-impact web platforms, currently driving work at Datadog after a recent staff-engineer tenure at VTS. He combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership—rescuing stalled projects, migrating core infrastructure to AWS/Kubernetes, and introducing company-wide standards like TypeScript, Cypress, and Sorbet. His work at VTS helped launch a client website product that now generates ~$10M annually, and he’s prolific in code reviews, PRs, and developer enablement. A former designer and video producer, Eric brings strong UX sensibilities and communication skills to engineering teams, mentoring numerous hires who later earned promotions.
