Senior🎓
Top SchoolEric Qian is a software engineer with eight years of experience building production-grade ML and mapping systems, currently at Delphina in San Francisco. Trained at MIT (BS and MEng) and a former CSAIL researcher, he blends deep learning, 3D geometry, and classical algorithms to ship robust infrastructure for large-scale perception and generative-AI platforms. At Scale AI he architected globally consistent mapping systems, owned model inference pipelines and infra for Spellbook, and drove a dramatic reduction in on-call incidents as stability DRI. He’s skilled across the full stack and devops—deploying customer cloud environments, authoring authorization systems, and optimizing labeling workflows that sped labeling up to 200x. Passionate about using ML to improve everyday decisions, he pairs rigorous academic foundations with pragmatic, production-first engineering. A detail many miss: his background in both algorithmic theory and hands-on telemetry/devops lets him bridge research ideas into reliable, scalable products.
