Senior🎓
Top SchoolErkan Erkişi is an engineering team lead with eight years of experience building and scaling search and recommendation systems, currently leading the Search & Recommendation team for Trendyol Go. He has a strong backend focus—Go, Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot—and hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Couchbase, Kafka and microservices architectures in high-throughput retail and grocery domains. His background spans enterprise systems, fraud/pricing-sensitive platforms and loyalty solutions, giving him a pragmatic approach to reliability, monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana) and resilience patterns. Erkan combines team leadership with deep implementation experience from API design to observability, and he has moved repeatedly from feature delivery to operational ownership in production. Based in Turkey, he pairs an Industrial Engineering degree with a track record of translating complex business rules into performant search relevance and recommendation features. An investor in stability as much as speed, he often tackles low-latency relevance problems that sit at the intersection of systems, data and product.
