Senior🎓
Top SchoolEugene Chung is a Senior Software Engineer in New York with six years of experience building full-stack web applications using React, Redux, Express/Node, and Rails, and currently deepening expertise in React Native and Python algorithms. At Bloomberg he has progressed from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer, bringing practical experience shipping production systems and mentoring through prior instructor work at App Academy. He enjoys end-to-end product work—illustrated by a Spotify-inspired streaming app he built that handles playback, playlists, and social features—showing both front-end polish and backend integration. Eugene combines a strong quantitative background in mathematics and economics with hands-on teaching experience, which helps him communicate complex technical concepts clearly. Outside of work he curates rare music for DJ mixes, a hobby that informs his design sense for media-rich applications. He’s focused on launching a live React Native app to bring his mobile engineering work to the App Store.
