Top SchoolEvan Cortens is a higher-education leader and scholar with a decade of experience bridging academic research, institutional planning, and continuing education administration at Mount Royal University. With a PhD in Musicology from Cornell and a publication record in leading eighteenth-century music journals, he pairs deep disciplinary expertise with quantitative and technical skills (R, Python, SPSS, SQL) developed through institutional research and program feasibility work. He has led large-scale surveys and translated complex datasets into actionable strategy, while also designing web apps and maintaining archival websites—an uncommon blend of humanities scholarship and hands-on technical delivery.
