Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolFabien Hiegel is a curious and pragmatic software developer and technical coach based in Nantes with over a decade of experience helping teams ship resilient systems and adopt Software Craft practices. At Shodo he combines hands-on development (Java, Spring, JS, testing tooling, CI/CD, Kubernetes) with coaching missions—facilitating EventStorming, DDD, TDD and mob/pair-programming for clients like Décathlon, Maisons du Monde and Lhyfe. He regularly sharpens his craft through katas, coding dojos and workshops and enjoys turning messy legacy codebases into testable, well-modelled domains. Known for patient mentorship and playful learning formats, he often accelerates team capability by embedding practices rather than just handing down prescriptions. Fabien’s background in R&D and product innovation (SNCF, Oalia) gives him both architectural sensibility and a bias for practical automation in delivery pipelines.
