Top SchoolFabien Rétif is a founder and technologist with 11 years of experience who blends a PhD in physical oceanography with engineering expertise to build high-performance digital twins for coastal flood risk forecasting. As Président-Fondateur of Snale, he leads development of operational web and mobile systems that couple satellite imagery, hydrodynamic models and HPC to deliver actionable flood forecasts for municipalities and citizens. He is a full‑stack developer and systems thinker—fluent in Java Spring, Python/Django, Vue.js, GIS tools and parallel programming—who has repeatedly translated complex geophysical models into scalable production services. His background ranges from academic postdocs and international research projects to SCRUM coaching and consulting for public agencies, giving him uncommon fluency at the science–product interface. Notably, he combines hands-on HPC/model profiling with product leadership, enabling rapid, data-driven decision support for high-volume environmental datasets.
