Fatih Akturk is a Principal Software Engineer based in Prague with 11 years of experience building low-latency, highly available backend systems and cloud-native microservices across Java and Go. He combines a strong academic background in operations research and a PhD-focused research history with hands-on engineering at Oracle and Microsoft, delivering real-time caching, multicloud and OCI solutions. Fatih has a track record of modernizing monoliths to Go microservices, integrating streaming (Kafka/gRPC) and serverless patterns, and applying ML/deep learning to image and receipt processing. As a former co-founder, he brings product-minded pragmatism—deploying real-time pedestrian tracking and adaptive video stream processing—and a history of bridging research ideas to production-grade systems.
