Summary
👤
SeniorFauzan Emmerling is a Senior Software Engineering Manager based in Dubai with 14 years of hands-on experience building and scaling cross-functional engineering teams and platforms across e-commerce and mobile payments. He has led teams of 20+ engineers through complex migrations and rewrites—most recently migrating Namshi into noon’s ecosystem and architecting a Grocery marketplace rewrite that improved performance by 30% while tripling order capacity. His background spans product-focused technical leadership roles at Careem, Gojek, Traveloka and Midtrans, delivering high-stakes releases like Indonesia’s first QRIS payment and PCI-compliant offline card acceptance. Fauzan pairs deep delivery discipline (CI/CD, SRE, autoscaling) with a product sensibility that reduced integration times from weeks to days and cut cloud costs by half in advisory roles. He’s equally comfortable shipping mobile SDKs, backend systems, and vendor/platform integrations, and is known for growing distributed teams with high retention. Outside titles, he simply enjoys building things—turning ambiguous problems into reliable, scalable products.
