Top SchoolFelipe Borge is a research-driven software engineer with 10 years of hands-on experience building and scaling web and cloud-native systems, currently serving as a Research Associate at Universidad de Deusto. He blends full-stack development (JavaScript, React, Node, Python, FastAPI) with cloud and DevOps practices (Docker, MongoDB, AWS) and a focus on gamification, citizen science, and geospatial crowdsourcing through projects like GREENGAGE and GAMEDCROWD. A former CTO and founder, he pairs product sensitivity from entrepreneurial ventures with academic rigor—now pursuing a doctorate in sustainable information engineering—so his solutions are both practical and research-informed. He has taught university courses, led certification efforts (CENS), uncovered security issues in healthcare environments, and contributed to multiple open-source initiatives, showing a habit of learning from mistakes and iterating fast. Colleagues describe him as disciplined and persistent, equally comfortable mentoring students or collaborating across international consortia to turn ideas into impactful, production-ready systems.
