Senior🎓
Top SchoolFelipe Carvalho is a Staff Software Engineer with 11 years of experience specializing in systems programming and high-performance C++ work. He has driven critical infrastructure projects at Spotify—designing an extendable metadata system and leading GDPR-related migrations—and contributed to Apache Arrow while at Voltron Data, becoming an Arrow committer and adding novel array formats adopted by other engines. Now at dbt Labs, he brings deep low-level expertise together with product-minded engineering that shortens feature delivery cycles. Based in Sergipe, Brazil, Felipe blends large-company rigor with a craftsman’s approach to code quality and open collaboration. His background includes early impactful internships at Facebook and a track record of turning complex cross-team requirements into practical, production-grade systems. An understated strength is his ability to bridge client and server concerns, shipping solutions that scale from mobile clients to data engines.
