Senior🎓
Top SchoolFelix Tan is a technology leader and angel investor with 11+ years building large-scale recommendation, search, and distributed systems across startups and global platforms like Tokopedia, ByteDance, and GoTo Financial. He architects and scales mission-critical platforms that drove measurable gains—examples include a recommendation integration that lifted CTR 50% and GMV 30%, and a Tokopedia recommendation platform boosting CTRs 150–200% for onboarded verticals. Equally comfortable bootstrapping products and teams, Felix led the end-to-end engineering of a crypto exchange and scaled an e‑commerce brand from zero to seven-figure revenue while serving as fractional CTO. He combines hands-on engineering (Python, Go, GCP, PostgreSQL) with operational rigor—reducing cloud costs by 40–50% in high-impact projects and running zero-downtime migrations. As an investor and advisor based in Bali, he focuses on third-party logistics, fulfillment, and data-driven product strategy for early-stage ventures. Beyond headline metrics, he’s known for leading company-wide working groups, mentoring engineers, and translating data-science research into production-grade, multimodal recommender systems.
