Top SchoolFeng Sun is a seasoned engineering leader with over two decades of experience building large-scale machine learning, big data and distributed systems for online advertising and recommendation products. Currently VP of STCA Ads at Microsoft, he has led multidisciplinary teams to deliver core algorithmic innovations in ads selection, relevance, click/conversion prediction and personalization that materially improved revenue and audience reach. His background spans hands-on systems work (from Windows networking and device drivers) to ML-driven ad products, giving him rare fluency across low-level engineering and large-scale ML production. Previously he led recommendations and Web3 initiatives at Opera, linking personalization, privacy and NFT security efforts with product impact. Known for combining rigorous engineering discipline with applied research, he often ships production-ready algorithms rather than just prototypes. Based in Beijing, he blends extensive Microsoft enterprise experience with startup-style product experimentation.
