Summary
🤩
RockstarFernando Altuzar is a Senior Software Engineer with 15 years of experience building full-stack web platforms, shipping large-scale features at Shopify and currently contributing to cloud-based legal tech at Clio. He combines deep Ruby on Rails roots with modern stacks—React, Node, TypeScript, GraphQL—and has driven projects that generated over $100M in label drafts and doubled automation adoption through API-led initiatives. Fernando has led distributed teams across the US, Canada, and EU, mentoring engineers and owning end-to-end delivery for mission-critical merchant workflows. He also designs AI/ML integrations and consumer-facing apps, having worked with Pandas, scikit-learn and OpenAI tooling to prototype recommendation and agent-driven experiences. Based in Greater Mexico City, he began coding at eight and brings a rare mix of hands-on implementation, product sensibility, and operational experience from startups to enterprise retail. Outside core work he experiments with AI SaaS, agents and game projects on GitHub, blending playfulness with pragmatic engineering.
