Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolFlávio Faria is a Principal Android Engineer with 14 years of experience building reliable, production-grade mobile systems for companies like Turo, Tonal, Shopify and Zwift from Toronto. He combines deep Android expertise—from low-level sockets, Bluetooth and custom hardware integrations to over-the-air update flows and secure TLS networking—with a track record of leading cross-team projects that increase fault tolerance and product growth. As an early mobile founder and hands-on engineer he shipped consumer apps that reached hundreds of thousands of users and led mobile teams through pivots and complex integrations. He maintains practical open-source chops (authoring the KenBurnsView Android library) and advocates for engineering hygiene, type safety and tooling to keep large codebases healthy. Notably, he’s driven vendor-agnostic hardware strategies and payment-focused libraries that shape multi-year roadmaps while still contributing code-level fixes and sample apps.
