Top SchoolForest Welch is an Information Technology Consultant and full-stack software engineer with 8 years of experience building user-centric web applications and taking startups from 0 to 1. He’s shipped large-scale internationalization efforts, rebuilt and maintained critical internal tools that saved millions, and helped grow teams and offices while mentoring and hiring dozens of engineers. Comfortable across Next.js, React libraries, RTK Query, and performance-driven front-end work, he blends product-focused engineering with pragmatic tooling and admin workflows. A linguistics BA and polyglot, Forest leverages deep communication skills and mindfulness coaching to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable outcomes for customers and teams. His background includes unusual real-world problem solving—from running accounting for a cat beach sanctuary to building escape rooms in Japan—which surfaces in creative product ideas like a media app to combat analysis paralysis. Based in San Francisco, he pairs global perspective and empathy with hands-on delivery to build meaningful, human-centered software.
