Senior🎓
Top SchoolFran Hermoso is a Senior Backend Developer and seasoned DevOps engineer with 15 years of experience building and operating scalable, high-throughput systems across cloud and bare-metal environments. Based in Manresa, Catalonia, he combines deep GNU/Linux and Python expertise with hands-on experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible and CI/CD to reliably ship services at scale. His recent work includes architecting metrics and Redis infrastructures that handled thousands of nodes cost-effectively and migrating legacy deployments to modern IaC and GitLab-runner driven pipelines. Comfortable switching between backend development (Django, DRF, Celery) and infrastructure automation, he has improved performance, observability and deployment workflows at companies from Bonhams to Smadex and Tesco Mobile. Pragmatic and curious, Fran often implements bespoke automation—like HTTPBoot-based bare-metal provisioning and Python tooling for operations—that reveals a preference for elegant, maintainable solutions in production.
