Top SchoolFrancois Lebel is a charismatic engineering manager and software engineer based in Seattle with 16 years of experience building pragmatic, maintainable software at scale. He leads teams with a focus on honesty, respect, accountability, and ownership, believing clear communication and planning are essential for navigating complexity and uncertainty. As a hands-on engineer, he emphasizes pragmatic, conscientious development that turns “good enough” into systems that survive hockey-stick growth. For the past two years he has steered Conductor’s engineering team through major redesigns to support what’s described as the largest visual effects and animation rendering farm on the planet. His background in information technology from École de technologie supérieure and a career-long emphasis on team culture make him as strong a leader of people as he is of architecture and delivery.
