Senior🎓
Top SchoolFrançoise Bahoken is a research fellow in geography based in Paris with over a decade of experience specializing in the cartographic and geographic analysis of spatial mobility, flows, and networks. She combines academic research (PhD in Geography) with applied expertise in thematic cartography and flow mapping, having held roles at Université Gustave Eiffel, CNRS Géographie-Cités, IFSTTAR and taught statistics and spatial analysis at leading French universities. Her work spans methods, tools and concepts for mapping migration, trade and origin-destination interactions, and she contributes to the editorial direction of Mappemonde. Practically oriented, she has a strong engineering background in GIS and environmental management from MINES ParisTech, which informs her data-processing and representation skills. Françoise is equally at home producing rigorous academic analysis and building visual, map-based narratives that reveal non-obvious circulation patterns. Her profile reflects a rare blend of long-term institutional research, hands-on cartographic engineering, and teaching across undergraduate and graduate programs.
