Senior🎓
Top SchoolFrank Seipel is a registered PE and semi-retired process engineer in Columbus, Ohio with over three decades of hands-on experience in chemical process control, scale-up, and specialty chemical plant optimization. He has driven measurable results—debottlenecking a hydrotreater to raise throughput by 25%, digitizing drive controls, and implementing web-based datalogging for remote monitoring. His skill set spans DeltaV and PLC/HMI configuration, CHEMCAD simulation, P&ID/FEED development, equipment specification, hazard analysis, and practical instrumentation selection. Equally comfortable with field troubleshooting and capital projects, he has written PLC logic, developed custom Access/SQL databases and FileMaker solutions, and improved vacuum and pumping systems for better uptime. Known for pragmatic, cost-conscious engineering (e.g., retrofitting purged enclosures at a fraction of new-equipment cost), he combines deep unit-operation knowledge with practical software/database tooling. Now semi-retired, he continues to consult and implement targeted process improvements that boost reliability and throughput.
