Senior🎓
Top SchoolGabe Benjamin is a seasoned software engineer with 12 years of experience building user-facing products and improving developer velocity at scale, currently contributing to Notion in San Francisco. At Google he designed appointment booking UIs used by over 50 million monthly users, led migrations from monolithic APIs to fine-grained UI views, and boosted JS test coverage from 12% to over 60%. He has led small teams and civic tech projects—serving as a tech lead for an affordable housing site for Detroit—and excels at balancing product priorities with technical debt reduction. Previously at Zenefits he rebuilt critical offboarding flows and introduced company-wide tooling and documentation improvements, demonstrating a knack for turning complex workflows into reliable, lower-support systems. Outside of engineering he brings curiosity and creativity to team culture and enjoys cooking, baking, gaming, and hanging out with his cat Smokey.
