Top SchoolGabriel Shanahan is a pragmatic technology leader and CTO based in Prague with 13 years of hands-on experience building and scaling backend systems in Java, Kotlin, Scala and Ruby. He blends deep engineering chops—shaped by roles from developer to Head of ICT and co‑owner at a startup—with proven team leadership as a technical lead and senior developer across Etnetera, ShipMonk and other fast-moving product teams. His Cybernetics background gives him a systems-oriented approach to architecture and automation, while frequent shifts between hands-on coding and executive responsibilities show he can both ship features and set long-term technical strategy. Comfortable in startup and enterprise contexts, he has a track record of structuring engineering organizations and delivering reliable services under tight timelines.
