Top SchoolGavin Shriver is a Senior Software Engineer with 12 years of experience building both front-end experiences and large-scale backend systems across companies like Snap, Amazon, and Stately Cloud. He blends a hands-on engineering approach with technical leadership—driving non-blocking client designs, rearchitecting high-cardinality backfill systems, and creating operational tooling for platform owners. Comfortable switching between UI detail and distributed systems, he has improved detection algorithms and reduced outage resolution times at Amazon while also shipping maintainable, storage-agnostic platform components. His background in physics and acoustics informs a methodical, measurement-driven approach to problem solving and has led to practical real-world outcomes such as cathedral acoustics improvements. Based in the Greater Seattle Area, he prioritizes code quality, tooling, and team culture to increase velocity and reduce maintenance burden.
