Summary
👤
SeniorGerin Amalaraj is a software engineer with 8 years of experience and a Computer Engineering degree from the University of Toronto, currently building Android products at Wealthfront. He brings 5+ years focused on Android, having driven measurable product impact at Flipp—boosting search adoption, reducing complaints, and delivering a 327% YOY increase in sharing through deep linking improvements. A pragmatic modernizer, he migrated large codebases toward Kotlin, Coroutines, Flows, MVVM and modular architectures while raising test coverage and reducing crashes. He combines feature-driven product work (search, coupons, dynamic flyers) with platform-level improvements that unlocked growth and attribution capabilities. Based in Old Toronto, he pairs data-informed experimentation with hands-on implementation, and often champions adopting new technologies to accelerate delivery.
