Senior🎓
Top SchoolGert Van Tonder is a Senior System Software Engineer with 11 years of experience building robust web and application systems across PHP (Laravel, Yii2), Java, C#, C++ and Python in both Linux and Windows environments. He combines strong relational database design and OO architecture with practical DevOps skills—Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, CI/CD and test-driven development—to deliver maintainable, production-grade software. Comfortable across the full stack, he has driven core CRM components, large-scale message routing systems and asynchronous processing engines for email and ticketing platforms. An agile team player and clear communicator, he reliably translates stakeholder needs into well-tested solutions and has repeatedly adapted legacy platforms to modern cloud deployments. Unusually for a backend specialist, he also brings front-end experience (SCSS, Vue.js, jQuery) and domain experience in trading automation (MQL4), which helps him bridge product, ops and trading/finance use cases.
