Senior🎓
Top SchoolGiles Dring is a Principal Technology Consultant and independent technologist with over two decades of experience shaping software and systems architecture across large enterprises and startups. He combines deep IBM-honed expertise in enterprise architecture, performance and infrastructure with hands-on delivery in DevOps, JavaScript/TypeScript engineering and open data-led innovation. Currently defining the technical platform for a care-sector start-up and working with graph technologies like GraphQL and Neo4j, he excels at translating emerging tech into practical, explainable solutions for non-technical stakeholders. As director of his own consultancy and a former IBM Chief Architect in Application Management Services, he balances governance and roadmapping with pragmatic delivery. Based in Calderdale, he also brings local SME experience—everything from email and website migrations to remote IT support—revealing a rare mix of enterprise scale thinking and boots-on-the-ground problem solving.
